All knights have their own heraldries, which are made up of color schemes and crests. Made from durable closed cell foam, this uncoated LARP kite shield bears the appearance of a riveted band around its edge. This blank shield template is perfect for LARPers who wish to create a custom shield for their use on the battlefield and provides the benefit of a personalized item that is manufacturer safe. Add a unique touch to your LARP gear by equipping yourself with a DIY LARP shield!
Once properly painted, we recommend applying a latex sealer to the shield. Latex shields do need to be maintained to a certain degree. We offer a Maintenance Silicone (MCI-2000) that can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. We recommend that you use this silicone on a regular basis. It is an easy, spray on application, and it will keep the coating flexible, which will make the shield last much longer. The maintenance silicone also protects to the coating from drying out, and helps the shield resist general wear and tear from normal use.
